Self. Your BFF, so good at loving and living, only if you let it. Self. The reciprocal one who laughs at your cheesy puns and winks back in the elevator mirror as you indeliberately practice your mirror face (we all have one). Self, your co-conspirator when blame needs sharing, the one you'd make a milkshake for at midnight, Dreyer's Rocky Road, light on the milk.
Self. The judgy one who holds you on a tight leash, comparing your achievements to those of others. Measuring success by the absence of failure. Fearing failure. Ghostlightning failure. Self. Your biggest critic, the one who's upper cut stings and forgets to forgive.
You know both versions. We all do. The scale of confidence and self doubt slides within each of us. Nearly 8 billion Selfs peddling about this earth have been created based on a billion little things. Big things too. Blame early homosapiens for the uneasiness triggered by swaying grass. Credit that one early educator who praised your writing, calling you young Kafka. Assign blame and praise at will, to people, events, and accidental encounters. You are the only one in charge of Self.
From our sense of Self, we derive self expression. The outward presentation of a black box mind. Self expression can be highly strategic and planned. It can also be whimsical and accidental. No matter the method or magic which preempts it, self expression is powerful.
ALITY Designs exists to create space for the inbetween, a platform on which The Other can stand. We drop a beat, you make music. Here's a symphony a few beautiful Selfs put together.
